    Biogenerative Therapies

BIOREGENERATIVE THERAPIES THERMAL effect CO2 laser and radiofrequency: Energy biodevices are an innovative way to biostimulate the vulvovaginal area and restore trophism (elasticity, hydration, smoothness...) lost during different stages of life such as postpartum or menopause. The controlled heat that penetrates the dermis induces the release of growth factors that stimulate the synthesis of elastin and new collagen I and III with better organised fibres. For this reason, the process can be applied beneficially in cases of stress urinary incontinence and vaginal hyperlaxity (wide vagina), providing greater tension to the vaginal walls. According to the AEEM (Spanish association for the study of menopause), laser treatment has been shown to improve sexual function, vaginal signs and symptoms and urinary symptoms of the genitourinary syndrome of menopause.

BIOREGENERATIVE THERAPIES BIOLOGICAL effect: platelet-rich plasma/ hyaluronic acid/ oxygen therapy/ ozone therapy: The application of Plasma Rich in Growth Factors (PRGF) associated with hyaluronic acid by means of mesotherapy technique and/or by subcutaneous infiltration of the vulva or submucosa in the vagina is supported by research carried out over the last 20 years which provides clinical evidence and demonstrates that growth factors (platelets) favour tissue regeneration. Its use in the genital area alone or in combination with other regenerative treatments is providing a response to dermatoses such as vulvar lichen sclerosus and other inflammatory conditions. The clinical use of gases such as ozone or high-purity oxygen is another reality in regenerative medicine, incorporated into genitalia. Their bactericidal, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects support their application in difficult-to-treat situations such as recurrent candidiasis or other types of vestibulitis/vestibulodynia that detract from a woman’s quality of life and wellbeing.

Women’s hormonal health: optimisation and prevention

Hormonal imbalances in women often occur naturally during menopause, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and also due to the intake of certain medications, continuous stressful situations or diseases related to the thyroid, diabetes or cancer.

Our gynaecologists and functional medicine experts work hand in hand to optimise your hormone levels and vitality. Together they will propose a personalised hormonal treatment that will achieve the following:

  • Boost your energy.
  • Increase your rest.
  • Improve your wellbeing.
  • Regain your libido.

Women’s sexuality

We address female sexual dysfunctions and their implications for sexuality in a personal and friendly manner. Traditionally, female sexual dysfunctions (in the context of their implications for sexuality) have not been subject to gynaecology treatments. At Olympia, we provide "sexual counselling" that applies comprehensive sexual therapy based on improving lifestyle habits, educational and relational measures, restructuring mindsets and validated sexual therapy exercises; all based on active listening and an action plan to optimise your sexual life which is a source of health and wellbeing.

Intimate aesthetics for women

Age, childbirth, malformations or dysfunctions of the female genitalia, urinary incontinence or unsatisfactory sexual relations or an unsightly appearance of the genitalia are some of the main concerns of women in the sexual sphere. At Olympia we believe that the female genitalia should not be made invisible. We are aware of the existence of pathologies such as genitourinary syndrome of menopause, or postpartum vulvovaginal hyperlaxity, which are undertreated. An early approach with medical treatment, bioregenerative therapies or intimate reconstructive surgery (labiaplasty, hoodplasty, labia filler, tightening threads, etc.) will restore sexual confidence and wellbeing.

Treatment of gynaecological diseases

Following a thorough examination and the necessary tests, we treat the most common gynaecological diseases such as fibroids or uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, infectious diseases or menstrual bleeding disorders. We provide a new, comprehensive and personalised perspective of your current pathology.

Fertility and Assisted Reproduction

We know how important it is for you to become a mother, that’s why we want to help you achieve this dream. Our unit has more than 15 years’ experience in assisted reproduction techniques and knows how you are feeling. After a detailed medical examination, we will help you interpret the basics of reproductive biology so that you can better understand the treatments available, their advantages, risks and the degree of effectiveness they would have in your particular case. We perform all types of procedures available such as: artificial insemination, in-vitro fertilisation, egg vitrification, sperm cryopreservation and egg donation.

Female oncology patient unit

Combine your conventional treatment with other therapies to reduce side effects and improve wellbeing. We offer comprehensive treatment for patients with gynaecological cancer, from diagnosis to cure, which involves the implementation of an early detection programme (medical check-ups), treatment of primary and recurrent disease (surgical, antiblastic and radiotherapeutic) and oncological follow-up (including palliative treatment). The Quironsalud Group network supports the approach across its multidisciplinary committees.

Pregnancy support programmes

Pregnancy is a very special time in a woman’s life. At Olympia, we want to take care of you using a 360º approach, supporting you during the preconception, pregnancy and postpartum periods, so that you can experience it all in the best possible way:

  • With medical follow-up: our doctors will perform the controls and follow-up before conception, during pregnancy and during the postpartum period, which is often overlooked, taking care of the health of both you and your baby.
  • Nutrition: the clinical nutrition team will advise you on the best diet to follow during your pregnancy to avoid problems such as gestational diabetes, poor digestion or excess weight.
  • Physical exercise: personal trainer or strengthening of the pelvic floor muscles.
  • Aesthetic advice.
  • Emotional follow-up.
  • Rest and parenting management.

Pelvic floor

Find out the condition of your pelvic floor thanks to the Gineplus Check-up where we address three basic pillars of women’s health: preventive gynaecological check-ups, lumbo-pelvic abdominal girdle assessments by specialised physiotherapists and nutritional status assessments by our nutrition expert.

Take care of your pelvic floor at all stages of life.

Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a chronic gynaecological condition of unknown cause characterised by the presence of functionally active endometrial tissue outside the uterine cavity, which induces a chronic inflammatory reaction.

Common signs and symptoms of endometriosis include the following:

  • Pain during menstruation (dysmenorrhoea).
  • Pain during sexual intercourse.
  • Pain during defecation or urination. You are more likely to have these symptoms during your menstrual period.
  • Excessive bleeding.
  • Sterility. Sometimes endometriosis is first diagnosed in those seeking treatment for infertility.

Polycystic ovary syndrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome is one of the most common endocrine-metabolic disorders in women, affecting about 10% of women of reproductive age. Due to the symptoms it generates, this syndrome can have a significant impact on both the quality of life and fertility of the patients who suffer from it. In addition, in the long term, it can have a negative impact on metabolic and cardiovascular health.

This is why the treatment of this syndrome involves much more than the use of contraceptives. At Olympia, we use a multidisciplinary approach that includes a metabolic status assessment, lifestyle management measures, and follow-up by the gynaecology and nutrition teams, as well as the assisted reproduction unit.
