Los beneficios de la crioterapia en el Ice Lab de Olympia

Cryotherapy Unit

Cold treatment to help recover the body

Cryotherapy is a natural, fast and effective treatment with analgesic results. It is indicated both for ailments and for optimising sports performance and has beneficial effects on the endocrine, nervous and immune systems, all of which are closely related to the skin.

At Olympia we have the first full body cryotherapy room (Ice lab) in Spain, which achieves constant and controlled temperatures down to -110 degrees. It has three chambers with different temperatures: in the first two, which are used for acclimatisation, the patient is kept at -10°C and -60°C respectively. In the third and main chamber, the temperature is at -110ºC, and this is where the patient is treated for a maximum of three minutes.

Featured treatments

  • Relief of eradication of chronic pain
works as an analgesic and anaesthetic
  • Anti-inflammatory effect
decreases blood flow to the damaged area and is therefore very useful in cases of sprains, inflammation and bruising
  • Regulation of muscle tone
improves blood circulation and accelerates recovery processes.
  • Improved musculoskeletal metabolism
  • Stimulation and optimisation of performance
increased power, speed and resistance to fatigue.
  • Thermoregulation optimisation
  • Post-exercise recovery
helps to regenerate micro-tears in muscle tissue after strenght or quality training, such as short sets.
  • Psoriasis and dermatitis
soothes and reduces the areas where scales forms. This way, the irritation becomes less intense and the patient quickly begins to feel some relief.
  • Burnout syndrome (chonic fatigue)
exposure to controlled, intense cold relieves anxiety, stress or fatigue by activating blood flow and improving the patient's sense of wellbeing.
