The main mission of the Anaesthesia Unit is to control the patient’s perioperative process, ensuring that it develops within a framework of safety, comfort and wellbeing.

Anaesthesia consultation
Our work begins in the consultation room, where we assess the patient’s previous condition and prepare them for surgery.
Surgical Procedure
Once in the operating theatre, we carry out the sedation for the operation using the most suitable anaesthetic technique for each surgery and patient, and monitor the patient’s condition during the procedure.
Once the operation is over, the patient is transferred to the resuscitation unit, where they are monitored during those first moments of the postoperative period to control both pain and vital functions.
Processes in complex diagnostic techniques
For certain tests such as MRI scans, endoscopies or colonoscopies and for specific treatments, we provide suitable sedation to alleviate the discomfort of the procedure and promote patient safety.
